Buses in Dunedin offer discounts as follows:

  • High school students, with school ID card: 33% off
  • Invalid beneficiaries with Go card Extra: 25% off
  • Students with Otago university or polytechnic ID card and GoCard: 25% off
  • senior citizens with Gold Cards:
    • peak times: 25% off
    • off-peak: 100% off

Bus Go Dunedin believes Dunedin buses should have discount fares for all beneficiaries and all working people on low incomes, that is, all people eligible to hold a Community Services Card.

A Community Services Card discount is available in some other cities:

  • New Plymouth: a whacking 40% off (this is for "beneficiaries with ID" [6]; confirmed by telephone that the ID required is a CSC)
